Catholics connect Lot and Jesus with help from St. Faustina:

St. Faustina brings Peace and Joy by letting us see: "Obeying Jesus saves Catholics from every kind of 'storm'."

In Genesis 19:15-29, we see that God sent a storm of “sulphurous fire upon Sodom, Gomorrah, and the cities of the whole Plain”.  Lot’s wife joined in disobeying God’s Instructions.  Her disobedience has destroyed countless sinful people and societies.  She “looked back, and she was turned into a pillar of salt.”

Psalm 26:2-3, 9-10, 11-23 tells us how to avoid the disobedience that leads to those awful fates:  “. . . test my soul and my heart, for Your mercy is before my eyes and I walk in Your truth.  Gather not my soul with those of sinners, nor with men of blood my life. On their hands are crimes and their right hands are full of bribes.  Redeem me and have mercy on me.  O Lord, Your mercy is before my eyes.

Catholics see that what happened to the “people in the cities of the great Plain” comes to every society on earth with The Diary of St. Faustina, #1731!  (Her Diary may be downloaded for free in the “Author’s Notes” that follow every post on catholicfundamentalism.com) When St. Faustina was awakened by a great storm, “the wind was raging and it was raining in torrents, thunderbolts striking again and again.  I began to pray that the storm would do no harm, when I heard the words:  ‘Say the chaplet I taught you, and the storm will cease.” The storm immediately stopped.

If we have never prayed The Divine Mercy Chaplet, we should!  Here’s how:  https://www.churchpop.com/how-to-pray-the-divine-mercy-chaplet/

Praying The Divine Mercy Chaplet lets God keep the “storms” in our life from making us “look back and being turned into pillars of salt” and from the eternal punishment our sins deserve.
