Catholics embrace what Protestants avoid

Catholics embrace what Protestants avoid. Matthew 4:4: “One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.”

Catholics connect that with “In the beginning was The Word. . .” God’s Word created the universe. We live in and on His Word. His Word took form in us and everything around us.

Creation is actually a “Cosmic Dictionary” with countless quadrillions of words. Every “thing” in The Cosmic Dictionary is a noun. Every “action” is a verb.

We humans are the most complicated Words in God’s Dictionary. Each of us is a “living word” that was spoken into Being by God. Each of us lives among other words. Each of us moves through God’s words as fish swim through molecules of water.

Catholics embrace what Protestants avoid. When “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” The Author of Creation became one of His Own Words!

What did The Word do? He gave us Himself to actually eat and drink! Catholics embrace what Protestants avoid. The poor Protestants have reduced themselves to being simple, one-syllable words like “huh” and “duh” that bounce among the echoes.

Catholics live on big, complicated words like “transubstantiation”. We go through life with His Big Word putting His Essence into our little words.

Catholics are blessed to obey the clear call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated fourteen times: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

We who are “words” are actually able to ingest The Word that spoke us into being! We who obey The Word have “life in us” that is “The Word”!

+

Catholics see that we become living echoes of His Word. His Being grows within us as He becomes more and more of us.

Catholics embrace what Protestants avoid: God, Himself, increases within us every time we receive Him within us in Catholic Communion.
