Catholics have invented a better way to describe Peter. #20.

Catholics love our neighbors so much that we have invented a new way to help them get “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”!

Question 1:  “How long have God’s People been outnumbered and attacked by His enemies?”

Answer:  “In 1446 BC, Moses and The Twelve Tribes survived attacks from 4,000,000 Egyptians.  In 701 BC, 25,000 people in Jerusalem were attacked by nearly ten times that many Assyrian enemies.  God led His Chosen People to victory (2 Kings:19-36).

Question 2:  “How many enemies did Jesus have?”

Answer:  “Close to a billion people on earth were in established religions that hated competition.  The odds against Jesus were a billion to One.”

Question 3:  “What were the odds against The Only Church Spoken Into Being by This Word of Jesus to The First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’?”

Answer:  “Sixty million Romans outnumbered 12 Catholics by 5,000,000 to 1.”

Question 4:  “Today, there are over a billion Catholics among 8 billion people.  How can we help more people get ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’?”

Answer:  “Catholics have invented a way to help our beloved neighbors see how The Divine Perfection of Jesus Christ can save more souls.

Now, when we think and speak of Peter, we use the phrase:  “Peter, The First Catholic Pope.”  That gives a perspective that no one can deny.

Our new way of repeating The Church-Creating Word of Jesus  in Mt. 16:18-20 is to realize a deeper meaning of His Word, if only to ourselves:

‘And I say unto you thou art Peter (the first Catholic Pope) and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”

Jesus reminds us to “Get those ‘keys!” in Today’s Catholic Bible Reading from Mt. 7:14:  “How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.  And those who find it are few.”

Catholics are grateful for a new way to help our beloved neighbors get the only “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” that Jesus and Peter, the First Catholic Pope, died to leave on earth.
