Catholics know: Equality is a trap for the vain!

God threw the devil and his rebellious followers out of Heaven. The lessons we learn? 1. The devil thought “I am better than God.” 2. He is not. 3. All who assume they do not need to obey God suffer forever in hell.

Catholics know: Equality is a trap for the vain!

The devil was vain and foolish to think that he was as good as God. Ambitious men are similarly vain and foolish to think: “I can invent a religion that is just as good as The Only Church Jesus Founded.”

What a sin to think “My version of Christianity is just as good as God’s!”

Jesus was clear: “Verily, verily, I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Consider the awful vanity that leads a man to conclude: “My church will appeal to those whose needs aren’t being met. I may start with a ‘home church’ where we study The Bible and help each other. It may grow to a mega-church!”

Those to whom such vanities appeal are also damaged by the dread disease of Equality. “I am very special. The Catholic Church does not meet my needs. I must have something more in my life. Any church that provides me with fulfillment is just as good as, or better than, the Catholic Church.”

The spewers and providers of such twaddle find each other! What joy! For awhile. Then, the need for personal attention drives them to seek new sources of praise. “Well, I liked Pastor Bob, but I outgrew him. Pastor Fred is just, well, deeper and more profound.”

Those who shun The Only Church Jesus Founded fall farther as they seek to satisfy souls so starved for praise that they are never sated.
