Catholics know: “History helps us see current events more clearly.” #79.

History keeps truth from being swallowed up by lies.

History keeps truth from being swallowed up by lies.

Historical perspective connects the recent attack on a candidate in Pennsylvania with something that happened in 514 BC.

Aristogeiton was offended when Hipparchus, the younger brother of Athen’s ruler, Hippias, showed an “interest” in Aristogeiton’s young lover, Harmodius.  Jealousy erupted in anger that killed the three men.

An email lets us connect Athens, in 514 BC, with All That Happened in Butler, Pennsylvania in 2024 AD:

A day or two after the shooting in Butler, an email post appearing to be from the shooter’s mother complained: “racist homophobes should stop insulting my son.”

Her words prompt the obvious question: “What, except for knowing about her son’s same-sex identification, could have prompted her to call those who insulted him:  ‘homophobes’?”

Genuinely concerned people in gay and straight communities want everyone to be safe from those who prey on the vulnerable.

An obvious question:  Was someone told to find and attract a confused, intelligent young man (SAT Scores of 1500?) desperate for approval from a manipulative authority figure?

Did this vulnerable 20 year-old lose his life after being seduced into believing how ‘historically important’ he would become if he assassinated the candidate?

Will allegations about overseas phone connections be thoroughly explored? Will fellow school students be interviewed to identify same-sex desires they may have noticed?   Will his phone numbers, calls, email records, books, movies, videos, magazines, and writings be examined?  Will all new adult contacts in the last year or so of his life be questioned, under oath?

Do his parents have liability?  Recently, the parents of a transexual shooter were found guilty of giving their daughter access to the firearms she took to school and used to kill several students.  Her Diary was impounded so no one would know of her clearly expressed motivations.  Do parents of the Butler shooter have even greater liability because they are professional “counselors”?
Did they recognize that liability when they were said to have called the FBI to report their son was “missing”?   How often does someone call the FBI to report a missing child?  What was recorded in that conversation?  Did the parents make that call to use the FBI as their scapegoat?  Were they told to do that to embarrass the FBI?

How and when did the young assassin uncover details about the pre-arranged candidate’s rally location?   Who directed him to get between buildings, easily get onto a heating/air conditioning unit, and climb from it onto the ideal sniper position on a strangely unguarded roof in a complicated, crowded, previously unknown location while carrying a rifle?

Did security failures begin the night before the rally, when pallets of uninspected chairs were set in place without security supervision?  Could some sort of “claymore mines” have been aimed at the Speakers’ Platform and the audience behind it?  Were dozens of candidate upporters, including a Congressman and his family, sitting behind the candidate at risk of death or injury?

Those concerns are validated by the discovery of explosives in the assassin’s home, and possibly, car.

Where, exactly, did those explosives come from?  Was material for shrapnel found?  Were gravel, nails, or other small projectiles part of a plan?

~

We must find who decided to send the first “counter-sniper team” to a the rally in this campaign.   Who placed the “counter-sniper” so the young assassin could be killed so he could not be captured and disclose anyone who helped him?

~

Specific questions about the actual thoughts of the “expert counter-sniper” must be asked.  The confused young man was only a few hundred yards away.  He was squarely in the powerful telescopic sights precisely mounted on the “expert counter-sniper’s” rifle.   The sight-picture of a deer or woodchuck with a similar scope and distance would let millions of Pennsylvania hunters immediately understand what an easy target the “expert counter-sniper” had from his securely mounted rifle.

Could the “expert counter-sniper” have helped but watch as the assassin fired seven more shots that killed one person and seriously wounded two more?  We need accurate, animated images with audio of the “expert counter-sniper’s” sight-picture as he watched the assassin fire seven more shots.

Were each of those seven shots followed by seven repeated thoughts of the expert “counter-sniper” after each shot?   “I must wait.  And wait.  And wait.  And wait.  And wait. And wait.   And wait to give him a chance to hit Trump with his next shot.”

Did those “seven waits” end the moment he saw that a well-placed shot from a Butler Law Enforcement Officer was reported to have hit the assassin’s rifle, making it unable to fire?  Did that prompt this decision: “With his rifle destroyed, there’s no way he can kill the candidate. Now, it’s time for me to shoot him.”

~

Other obvious questions must be investigated:   Did the coroner’s report show signs of same-sex activity in or on the shooter’s body?  Is that why it was cremated rather than released?
~
The most modern, high-resolution, camera-carrying drones were available to Federal Security Forces.   Why weren’t they put to use?
A chilling question must be asked:  “Were they put to use?  Were one or more agents watching the assassin crawl across the roof and aim his rifle without warning anyone?”
~
We pray that investigators seek and find answers to all the questions about “All that happened in Butler, Pennsylvania in 2024 AD”
