Catholics know! Jonah was an angry Willful Protestant in The Old Testament! #36.

Only Catholics can understand: Jonah was an angry Willful Protestant in the Old Testament. He refused to see God’s Life and Justice.

~

Question 1: “How can I stop being angry with God when He does not give me what I want?”

Answer: Read Jonah 4:1-11! Jonah became angry because God did not destroy Nineveh. He told God ‘And now, Lord, take my life from me for it is better for me to die than to live.’

~

Question 2: “Did Jonah build himself a hut outside Nineveh because He wanted to watch God destroy Nineveh?”

Answer: “That’s what He did. He hated the fact that God had forgiven repentant Nineveh and given ‘life’ to 120,000 people! God even sent a plant to grow and give Jonah shade in the burning sun. Then, God sent a worm to kill the plant so that Jonah was left to suffer in the burning sun. Jonah told God: ‘I would be better off dead than alive!’

~

Question 3: What happened after that?

Answer: “God asked Jonah a simple question! ‘God said to Jonah, ‘Have you reason to be angry over the plant?’ Jonah answered God: ‘I have reason to be angry’, angry enough to die.’

~

Question 4: “Why was Jonah ‘angry enough to die’?”

Answer: “Jonah was enraged because God would not do what he wanted! If God would not do what he wanted, Jonah saw no point in living.”

~

Question 5: “Was Jonah a Willful Protestant?”

Answer: “Many Willful Protestants are angry with God because He did not Speak their Denomination Into Being with His Holy Word: ‘And I say unto you, thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 6: “Would Willful Protestants rather ‘die in the burning sun’ than obey The Call to Catholic Communion that God repeated 14 times when He was in Human Form on earth: ‘If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.’?”

Answer: “Willful Protestants do not think any more clearly about Who God Is than Jonah did.”

~

We can imagine Jonah sitting outside The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Spoken into Being by Jesus Christ and and screaming in rage: ‘I would rather die than gratefully do what is necessary to receive Catholic Communion.’

Sadly, many may get that wish.
