Catholics know! St. Paul warned us about “factions”!

.
Believers should avoid all of the sins that will keep our souls from Heaven.

~

Question 1: “If believers are ‘guided by The Holy Spirit’, what sins will we avoid?”

Answer: “St. Paul tells us in his Letter to The Galatians, 5:18-25. ‘Brothers and sisters: ‘ . . . Now the works of the flesh are obvious: immorality, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy, outbursts of fury, acts of selfishness, dissensions, factions, occasions of envy, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like.’

~

Question 2: “What happens to people who take part in those things?”

Answer: “The Bible tells us! ‘I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.’

~

Question 3: “Is there a difference between those sins?

Answer: “‘Immorality, impurity, licentiousness, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like’ are sins of of the flesh. ‘Idolatry, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy, dissensions, factions, and occasions of envy’ are sins of the mind.”

Question 4: “Is there a difference between Catholics and other Believers?”

Answer: “Catholics work harder to avoid these ‘sins’: ‘rivalry, dissensions, and factions!”

~

Question 5: “Why do Catholics avoid those ‘sins’ of the mind?”

Answer: “The first Catholics saw what happened when ‘rivalry and dissensions’ turned into ‘factions’! We saw ‘factions’ of Nicolaitans, Gnostics, Donatists, Pelagians, Arians, Ebionites, Monophysites, Jacobites, Nestorians, Montanists, and many more! Some of them would fight wars with each other! Now, there are nearly 50,000 Protestant ‘factions’!

Each of them is a faction that keeps many souls from ‘inheriting The Kingdom of God.’

~

Question 6: “Why do some Believers think ‘factions’ are a good thing?”

Answer: “The ‘fans of factions’ all believe they know more than Jesus about This! ‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven; . . .’

~

Question 7: “What is the advantage of being Catholic and avoiding ‘factions’?”

Answer: “The Bible is clear! ‘In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such there is no law.

St. Paul finishes by telling us how important it is to ‘belong to Jesus’! ‘Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in The Spirit, let us also follow The Spirit.’

That is a complicated way of saying ‘Be Catholic!’!”
