. The lesson from The Garden of Eden: We should NOT listen to our Spouse if they tell us to disobey Any Word of God!
~
Question 1: “Does The Bible tell us ‘We should not always listen to our Spouse?’”
Answer: “Yes! Today’s Catholic Reading includes Genesis 3:9-24. It tells how the serpent talked Eve into eating ‘the forbidden fruit’ that God told them NOT to eat.”
~
Question 2: “Was ‘the serpent’ an angel who chose to disobey God?”
Answer: “Yes. The fallen angel who protested obedience to God may have been no bigger than a Negative Electron as it downloaded the urge to disobey inside Eve’s mind. She was humanity’s first Willful Protestant.”
~
Question 3: “Adam ate it too. What was his excuse?”
Answer: “The second Willful Protestant blamed his Spouse! ‘The woman whom you put here with me; she gave me fruit from the tree, and so I ate it.’”
~
Question 4: “What did God do?”
Answer: “He wanted to see if Eve would tell the truth! ‘The Lord God then asked the woman, ‘Why did you do such a thing?’”
~
Question 5: “How did Eve avoid taking responsibility for her decision?”
Answer: ‘The woman answered, ‘The serpent tricked me into it, so I ate it.’”
~
Question 6: “Did the first Willful Protestants cause what would be Gods First Commandment?”
Answer: “Adam and Eve are why God put This Commandment First! ‘You (all of Adam and Eve’s descendants) shall have no other gods before Me.’”
~
Question 7: “Was ‘the serpent’ there during this conversation?”
Answer: “God was talking to all three Willful Protestants; Adam, Eve, and ‘the serpent’! ‘Then the LORD God said to the serpent: ‘Because you have done this, you shall be banned from all the animals and from all the wild creatures; on your belly shall you crawl, and dirt shall you eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers . . .’”
~
Question 8: “Did God punish the first Willful Protestants of The Human Race?”
Answer: “‘To the woman he said: ‘I will intensify the pangs of your childbearing; in pain shall you bring forth children. Yet your urge shall be for your husband, and he shall be your master.’”
~
Question 9: What did He say to The Second Willful Protestant?””
Answer: “He told Adam why he (and his descendants) would have to ‘toil’ in order to get food to eat! ‘To the man he said: ‘Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat, cursed be the ground because of you!’”
~
Question 10: What do Catholics learn from that?”
Answer: “We learn to never ‘listen’ to our Spouse’s words encouraging disobedience to Any Teaching of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We do not want to let our soul be ‘cursed’ for rejecting these ‘keys’!
‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven.’”
