. Is THIS the Mountain where “The City of God” will come to rest at the end?

Question 1. “What ‘Mountain Connection’ do Catholics see between the Old and New Testaments?”
Answer: “The Old Testament contains Isaiah 2:2-3. ‘In the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob . . .’”

Question 2: “Do Catholics ‘connect’ that with a ‘mountain’ in The New Testament?”
Answer: “St. John describes the coming of The City of God to earth in Rev 21:10. ‘And he carried me away in the Spirit to an enormous mountain, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.’
The dimensions of God’s Holy City are given. It is a ‘cube’, 1,500 miles on a side. It is a ‘cube’ as big as Australia!”

Question 3: “Where is the ‘enormous mountain’ that The City of God will approach?
Answer: “Catholics think about that!
1. Mauna Kea, in Hawaii, is 13,796 feet above sea level, but its base extends about 19,700 feet below the Pacific Ocean. The total height of Mauna Kea at about 33,500 feet. That’s a mile taller than Mt. Everest.
2. In Ecuador, Mt. Chimborazo’s summit is at 20,703 feet (6,310 meters). But, the earth is wider at the equator. The top of Mt. Chimborazo, near the equator in Ecuador, is approximately 1.2 miles (2 km) farther up from the center of the earth than Mt. Everest.
3. With a summit that reaches 20,320 feet above sea level, Mt. McKinley is the highest point in North America. When measured base-to-peak, it is the world’s tallest mountain on land.
4. Mt. Everest is higher, but only because its base is at a higher elevation.
5. The highest mountain in The Solar System is on the planet Mars. ‘Olympus Mons’ is 16 miles (24 kilometers) high, about three times higher than Mt. Everest.”

Question 4: “Which Mountain will God choose?”
Answer: “Many good Catholics live near Mt. Everest in Nepal, India, and Pakistan. But, the top of Mt. Chimborazo is farthest from the center of the earth. It is also in a nation with many good Catholics. The important thing for us to do is be able to get our souls into ‘The City of God’.”

Question 5: “How may we be sure that our souls will be allowed to live forever in ‘The City of God’?”
Answer: “We must strive to be among ‘You are My friends if you obey My commands.’ at our Judgment. We show our obedience to His Word by being in The Only Church HE Spoke Into Being with these ‘keys’! ‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven; . .’”
