Catholics love to see and share “New Ideas” about “Being Catholic!”. #9.

Jesus lets us see a "New Idea" about two words in The Bible from His First Catholic Pope! We know and share what "spots" and "blemishes" really are!

The First Catholic Pope told us how to spend our lives in Today’s Bible Reading from  2 Peter 3:12-15 & 17-18:

“Beloved, wait for and hasten the coming of The Day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire.”

Then, St. Peter gives us The Catholic Hope!  “But according to His promise, we await new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”

The First Catholic Pope then tells us how to live our lives! “Therefore, beloved, since you await these things, be eager to be found without spot or blemish before Him, at peace.  And, consider the patience of our Lord as salvation.”

Catholics are blessed to understand that with what may be a “New Idea”!

1. We see that “spot or blemish describes every thought and idea in our mind that keeps us from obeying Every Word of God.

2. Those “spots or blemishes” are actually evil demons of pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth:  Catholics put them all in one wonderful new word: “peggalas”!

3.  Those living vanities in our minds work to keep our souls away from The Only Church to Whom Jesus gave “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” with His Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope, whose words we read in The Bible today!

And I say unto you, ‘Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”

4.  Those “keys” include The Seven Catholic Sacraments: Baptism, Confession/Absolution, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing, and Holy Orders.  God’s “Holy Orders” take human form in Catholic priests, religious, and people whose work on earth is to encourage everyone:  “Be as Catholic as you can!”

5.  When we “consider the patience of our Lord as salvation”, we see that every person’s time on earth is best used to be as Catholic as we can!

6.  May all be blessed to get rid of those living, evil “spots or blemishes” that work to keep us from realizing that “God’s Blessed Truth: ‘Be as Catholic as you can!’, will help me get ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’.”
