. One of 300 Prophecies: “They will look upon He Whom they pierced.”

Detail #1: Jesus calls every Catholic to be a “Prophet”! Catholics apply Jeremiah 1:4-5 and 17-19 to ourselves. “The word of the LORD came to me, saying: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.”
Every Catholic is ‘formed in the womb’. We are all called to share God’s Word with families, friends, and neighbors. We give our “appointed” witness with our words, our deeds, and our lives!
~
Detail #2: Sharing God’s Word with our lives takes hard work! He tells His Prophets:
“But do you gird your loins; stand up and tell them (the vain and disobedient) all that I command you.”
~
Detail #3: Many people insult Catholics for obeying This Word from He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
What makes Every Catholic a “Prophet”? We can see clearly enough into the future to want those “keys” for our immortal souls!
~
Detail #4: Every Catholic is enough of a Prophet to ask God for the strength to stand for Him! “Be not crushed on their account, as though I would leave you crushed before them; for it is I this day who have made you a fortified city, a pillar of iron, a wall of brass, against the whole land: against Judah’s kings and princes, against its (disobedient) priests and people.”
~
Detail #5: Catholics know two things:
1. Those who reject The Church Jesus Spoke Into Being do not want us to be Catholics! “They will fight against you . .”
2. God will give us strength to endure: “. . but not prevail over you, for I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD.”
~
Detail #6: Catholics know that our job, like Jeremiah’s, is to ‘bring glad tidings to the poor’ and to ‘proclaim liberty to captives’ who are trapped by vanity that keeps them from having “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”!
~
Detail #7: Every Catholic Prophet will share our love for God and our neighbors with This Catholic Teaching: “Life must be protected from conception until natural death.”
