Catholics are Pro-Life.

Catholics are Pro-Life.  Catholics compare people to Cathedrals.   The National Cathedral weighs three hundred million pounds.  It is built of one million stones.  Compare that to us!

When we were conceived, there were at least two trillion molecules in our mother’s ova.  There were two hundred trillion atoms.  There were billions of molecules and trillions of atoms in our father’s sperm cell.   Each is like no other.  Each child is an individual, with skills and abilities provided by God at the moment of conception.

Many are led to trivialize the incredible complexity of conception.  For 2,000 years, The Only Church Jesus Founded has taught “Each human life is so important that it must be protected from conception until natural death.”

Many accept some forms of Catholic Teaching about the preciousness of life.  Some are against abortion.  Many people say “I am pro-life.” even while they do use abortion-inducing birth control.  Such pills and devices cause the tiniest of babies to die of starvation before they can get to their mother’s womb.

45,000 denominations claim to be “Christian”.  Only half a dozen provide clear, Catholic-like teaching that condemns abortion-inducing birth control.  Why?  They are afraid of losing donors.   “We are a friendly, welcoming church.  We do not want to chase people away by telling them that it is wrong to use birth control, even that which causes their tiniest children to die.”

Amazingly, even married Protestant clergy are not ordered to obey Catholic teaching regarding their own children.  They avoid:  “Life must be protected from conception to natural death.”

What causes this death-dealing confusion?   Many avoid considering the sacred nature of life from its holy beginning.  Many do not want to be aware that every living person was once smaller than a grain of salt.

It separates a person from our Pro-Life God when we say “I am pro-life.” while supporting a denomination that does not clearly teach that “Life must be protected from conception to natural death.”  God is Pro-Life.  So is His Church.

Catholics know how complicated we are.  Catholics are Pro-Life.  It is best to be Catholic and consistent.
