Catholics see The Power of Jesus in a few words!

Question 1:  "What few words let Catholics see The Power of Jesus in Today's Reading?"

Question 1:  “What few words let Catholics see The Power of Jesus in Today’s Reading?”

Answer:  “Isaiah 1:10 begins:  ‘Hear the Word of The Lord, princes of Sodom!  Listen to the instruction of our God, people of Gomorrah!’

Question 2:  “How does that let Catholics see The Power of Jesus?”

Answer:  “The worst sins on earth were encouraged by the leaders of Sodom and Gomorrah.  They led their people so far into sin that God destroyed them.    Then, God had His Prophets let us know that God can cure sinners and forgive the worst sinners on earth if they:  ‘Wash yourselves clean!  Put away your misdeeds from before My eyes;  cease doing evil;  learn to do good.  Make justice your aim;  redress the wronged, hear the orphan’s plea, defend the widow.’

Question 3: “Did God have so much Love that He would forgive those who repented of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah?”

Answer: “Isaiah told of God’s forgiveness and prophesied Christ’s Catholic Sacraments of Confession and Absolution:  ‘Come now, let us set things right, says The Lord:  Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow;  Though they may be crimson red, they may become white as wool.’

Then, Isaiah predicted Catholic Communion! ‘If you are willing and obey, you shall eat the good things of the land, But, if you refuse and resist, the sword shall consume you;  for the mouth of The Lord (That is what His Prophets are!) has spoken’.

Question 4:  “Did The Prophet Ezekiel, 18:31 also tell us to reject sins by saying ‘Cast away from you all the crimes you have committed, says The Lord, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.’?”

Answer: “That helps us get ready for Today’s Gospel, Mt. 23:1-12:  Jesus spoke to the crowds and His disciples, saying,
‘The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. Therefore, do and observe all they tell you, but do not follow their example.’  Then, Jesus exposes the flaws that He wants us to see!
‘For they preach but they do not practice.  They tie up heavy burdens hard to carry and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them.’

Question 5:  “How does Jesus tell us we can identify such awful people?”

Answer:  “Jesus tells us to look at what they wear and want: ‘All their works are performed to be seen.  They widen their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels.  They love places of honor at banquets, seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in marketplaces, and the salutation ‘Rabbi.'”

Question 6:  “What does Jesus tell His Catholic priests, religious, and people to do?”

Answer:  “Jesus gives us 5 Guiding Principles:

1.  ‘As for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi.’  You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers.’                                                                    2. ‘Call no one on earth your father;  you have but one Father in heaven.’
3. ‘Do not be called ‘Master’;  you have but one master, the Christ.’
4. ‘The greatest among you must be your servant.’
5. ‘Whoever exalts himself will be humbled;  but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.’
