Christmas is coming! Catholics make the smart bet!

Christmas is coming! Catholics make the smart bet! We think of Jesus’ Birth. A hundred million people lived in and around The Roman Empire. They had about 200,000 children a year. 100,000 were boys.

About 300 people lived in the tiny town of Bethlehem. Three boys were born in Bethlehem each year. The odds of Jesus being born there was 33,000 to one! But, most of those boys were not born in The House of David! They could not be The Messiah! If one of those boys was in The House of David, it would be one in one hundred thousand that He might be The Messiah.

The Birth of Jesus becomes more Miraculous! Who showed up at the right time? The Three Wise Men.

What did they do for a living? They were astronomers! They could predict eclipses of the sun and moon. They knew within minutes how long it took Jupiter and the other planets to make their reappearances.

They had studied the ancient Sky Charts of Babylon. They knew the Constellations, the Comets, the Stars, the Sun, the Moon, and the Planets. Records of their movements went back over 3,000 years in the cloudless skies around Babylon!

They realized: “Our observations have been carefully written. Something big is about to happen!”

The Three Wise Men were familiar with some Jewish Teaching. Jews had been taken to many of their cities. They knew that The Messiah was Prophesied. They did not know where.

They went to Jerusalem to find out. There, they were told what Micah had prophesied. “He will be born in Bethlehem.”

That’s where they went!

Other Messiahs had been proclaimed. For at least a hundred years, people had said, “So-and-so is The Messiah!” None of them were! The odds were no longer 1 in 100,000 that Jesus was The Messiah. Now, it was 1 in 10,000,000 that Jesus was The Messiah!

Catholics realize: “We are making the smartest bet there is by being in The Only Church Jesus Spoke Into Being with His Holy Word!”

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
