Mark 1:21-28 explains the “unclean spirits” that lead many to hate God and neighbor. “Jesus came to Capernaum with His followers, and on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. The people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, not as the scribes.”
The enemies of Faith and families are symbolized by this poor man:
“In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit. He cried out, ‘What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know Who You are! The Holy One of God!’” We see that every “unclean spirit” knows and hates Jesus!
Jesus made His Power clear to all! “Jesus rebuked him and said, ‘Quiet! Come out of him!’ The unclean spirit convulsed the man and, with a loud cry, came out of him.”
We learn that “unclean spirits” have no choice but to obey Jesus!
“All were amazed and asked one another, ‘What is this? A new teaching with authority. He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”
The Bible tells of His Power over “unclean spirits”; the demons in their seven tribes of pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth.
They keep many from The Church Spoken Into Being by He Who still sets people free from “unclean spirits” with the Seven Catholic Sacraments: Baptism, Confession/Absolution, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing the Sick, and Holy Orders:
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
