Dealing effectively with The Programmer.

There is an ongoing war within us in which we choose obedience or disobedience many, many times a day. A part of us knows we should obey the Operating Instructions provided by The Unprogrammed Programmer and His Church. At the same time, a part of us wants to disobey. At any given moment, with every thought, word, and deed we are doing one of two things, we are either moving toward or away from Him.

We can understand that Original Sin, the programming error written into us by Adam and Eve’s regrettable choice in the Garden, prompts us to move toward obeying, and thereby worshipping, ourselves and our least worthy desires. At the same time, we may wonder, “What is it that prompts us to say ‘No.’ when faced with choosing error?”

It’s been called “conscience”, but it is actually the awareness of the consequences of error. This awareness is provided by He Who we Catholic Fundamentalists think of as The Holy Wireless Connector. He operates between the Unprogrammed Programmer, The Program (which, in the person of Jesus Christ, came to earth in perfect, loving, obedient human form), and all of us free-will programs.

When we pray, which is to ask for Programming Assistance, it is the Holy Wireless Connector Who provides access to the proper wavelengths and frequencies that allow our requests for programming assistance to get through to The Programmer.

We do not, unless we’re some kind of ego-maniac, expect Him to personally stop what He’s doing and take care of us. He does that through the ranks upon ranks of Programming Assistants that transmit His will to us programmed entities. Within those ranks are both the choirs of angelic programming assistants and the souls of the saints whose faith has given them direct access to The Unprogrammed Programmer.

When requesting Programming Assistance to help with the programs we want to run successfully, going through the proper channels shows that we understand our place in the vast programs that operate all there is. That humility, alone, is a great help. “We can give so-and-so some programming assistance, simply because he’s not uppity and tries to go over our heads.”, the angels and saints may say even as they make arrangements for that help to be provided, often in utterly unexpected ways.
