When we see people, what do we see?  Each person is a unique arrangement of genes that have been accumulating in their parents’ families since Adam.  Each person is a living total of the genes that made him or her.  Those who respect their past are careful about their genes.  Defending chastity defends the millions of ancestors whose genes built our own souls, spirits, minds, and bodies.

Defending chastity, The Church always teaches restraint and self-control.

Who dislikes chastity?  Those who hate themselves.  “I am not as strong, smart, rich, or good-looking as I would like to be.  I am flawed.  So is everyone else.  I hate myself and I hate everyone else.”

Since “the dragon was unchained from the abyss” 500 years ago, Protestantism has increasingly separated itself from higher standards of chastity.  Of the 45,000 Marketing Plan Denominations, only one or two teach that artificial birth control is wrong, even if it causes the deaths of billions of the tiniest babies, no bigger than the . at the end of a sentence.

Each of us was once that size.  Those who hate don’t care about destroying lives no bigger than they once were.

In defense of chastity, The Church has held that Jesus is right to command “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  The Church teaches that each life is a precious gift to be loved.  Unborn babies are just neighbors we haven’t met yet.

So, we are to love them.

The Protestant Establishment does not demand that people strive to be chaste.  Universities, media, public educators, and many agencies are worse.  They work diligently to undermine chastity.  “Your orgasms are important.  Temporary pleasures are more important than the immortal souls of your children and grandchildren.  Get rid of them before they are born and enjoy life.”  (They whisper among themselves:  “If mothers stay home and have children, they won’t work and pay the taxes we need!”)

Defending chastity, The Church teaches that life is important.  Babies must neither be kept from being nor must they be killed after their precious lives begin.

Those who disagree are wrong.  Best to be Catholic.
