Drugs and bell curve right-siders.

Drug addicts provide a handy target for the self-righteous. “Look at those disgusting drug addicts. They are so-o-o disgusting!”

Catholic Fundamentalists think the most disgusting person is usually the most self-righteous. Those who profit from the sad addictions of the hopeless by ruining their lives are far more despicable than many of those whom the law proclaims to be “bad”.

Those who abuse drug addicts often become addicted to feelings of superiority that make them glow with pride as their brains are flooded with their own kind of dopamine.

Worse, they are addicted to the notion that their self-righteousness can “help” by putting addicts in jail, forcing them to attend classes, making them pray to a God they cannot understand, or be brutalized in some other way. They do not understand how utterly hopeless the drug addict is.

The self-righteous deny the humanity of their fellow man. “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.” they say with the smug self-righteousness that is the hallmark of their smirking, jack-booted breed as prison doors slam shut on their less able brothers.

And a simple mind that could enjoy a limited life for a few dollars a day is turned into an ever-angrier, ever more desperate, ever more hate-filled mind.

But, he’s guaranteed to be re-arrested and re-incarcerated many, many times. Self-righteousness and full employment for some.

Despair, destruction, and death for others.
