Every Catholic has a Mission! 24. We have a duty to share Words of God’s Prophets. We share the Words of The Prophet Micah.
Micah lived between 740 and 670 BC. At least 670 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Micah was given This Prophecy from God! In Micah 5:2, The Prophet predicts where Jesus Christ would be born!
“And thou, BETHLEHEM Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Judah: out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and His going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.”
Micah is speaking of one little village. God chose Bethlehem from a hundred thousand towns in and around what would become The Roman Empire.
Bethlehem, and only Bethlehem, would be The Birthplace of God in Human Form!

Then, Micah gets more specific! He tells us Who would be born in Bethlehem! “out of thee (Bethlehem) shall He come forth onto Me that is to be ruler in Israel”. Clearly, The Twelve Tribes of Israel are promised a “ruler” Who would “come forth” in Bethlehem.
What will The Messiah do? “He shall come forth onto Me. . “ That predicts The Perfect Obedience of Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ did “come forth” unto Him. He proved that by living and ending His life on earth in Perfect Obedience to The Father.
~
Micah then gives us a sense of time! “His going forth is from the beginning. . .” The Coming of The Messiah was prophesied from “the beginning”! The Coming of Jesus Christ was in God’s Plan before He made Adam and Eve!
Who predicted that The Second Person of The Holy Trinity would come to earth? God! Who wrote down that Word of God? Micah!
The “days of eternity” include all the time there is!
The conclusion? Micah has put Jesus Christ into both time and place!

Every Catholic has a Mission! 24. We must share The Words of God’s Prophets. And, we must share This Fact! He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies Spoke One Church Into Being His Words!
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
