Good Friday. Not Just Good. Best. Friday. Ever.

To Catholic Fundamentalists, Good Friday is the Holy Day toward which The Creation Program had been batch processing quadrillions of sub-programs since the day that Adam and Eve disobeyed their own Programming Instructions and were punished for improperly accessing and downloading part of the Source Code. Those long years of batch processing included all there was; stars were exploding, planets rotated and revolved, water fell, crystals formed, and countless people, plant, and animal programs ran and ran and ran. The entire vastness of the Creation Program was headed toward the day when He Who programmed all that there was and would be sacrificed Himself to save His beloved free-will programs from the permanent effects of their parents’ intentional, inherited error download.

We can see that the Original Sin was so great that it altered the source code of their own spiritual and mental abilities. Neither they nor the replicating programs of their descendants would ever be as able to access The Programmer as Adam and Eve before their sin. Like simpletons on an island who demolish the bridge to the mainland that they lack the ability to rebuild, none of Adam’s children could completely reconnect to God. Only The Loving Programmer could rebuild the connection to them, but their error was so great that The Programmer would have to sweat, and lose, Blood to erase the error and restore access to those who’d be grateful for it.

On Good Friday, The Loving Programmer’s Program neared completing what was recorded in, and predicted in detail by, the First Programming Log. On Good Friday, the virus and its evil sub-viruses freely chose to do that to which they were driven by their own unconquerable desire to destroy love and truth. They chose, in their colossal vanity, to think themselves able to destroy the greatest thing in all creation, Jesus Christ, the Living Program, who had come to earth in perfect, obedient, human form.

By failing to control their overwhelming vanity, the living errors fell into what St. Augustine describes as “God’s mousetrap”. By killing Christ, and failing to keep the total restoration of His Program from taking place three days later, evil stupidly neutralized itself by publicly showing how weak it was compared to The Loving Programmer. Evil would be forever despised by those who would choose obedience over disobedience. The human programs who even dimly understood and believed would, henceforth, be made stronger than the evil spirits around them by having their errors erased, time after time, growing in love for He Who had lovingly programmed them and, when the time came, restored their programs.

Good Friday was, in Catholic Fundamentalism retrospect, not only a “Good” day. It was the Best Day that there had ever been. Even the greatest earlier downloads, like the parting of the Red Sea, the Immaculate Conception, John the Baptist’s coming, and the Virgin Birth were all programmed so that Good Friday would occur. It would be eclipsed in wonder only by The Resurrection. That had been programmed to take place three days later, when Good showed the world that evil was not only wrong, but also, at its weakest in what the gloating viruses thought was their time of total triumph.

As Scripture Readings of these days indicate, “even Kings are speechless” when considering that there are things more important than the greatest concerns of the greatest vanities. Even they are struck dumb when considering that a man with the organizational, spiritual, and intellectual ability to have built a church that has lasted from His death to our own times was able to renounce the things they feel are most important. “Am I missing something?”, the smarter of them, and all of us with pressing concerns about programmed entities, ask ourselves in quiet moments.
