. Who is the first group of people the enemies of God and His Church try to get rid of when they attack God’s people?

Question 1: “Does History repeat itself in how The Catholic Church is attacked?”

Answer: “Yes. The Catholic Church began when Jesus Spoke Her Into Being with His Word: ‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven; . . .’ Many were killed for obeying That Word of Jesus.”

Question 2: “Why did some people want to destroy Catholics and their Church?”

Answer: “Evil attacks any belief that encourages people to be pleasing to God and live so they may go to Heaven.”

Question 3: “How long did it take for the persecution of Catholics to begin?”

Answer: “Jesus was killed a few hours after He made His Body and Blood available to His Church! That persecution increased as more people listened to His Disciples, The First Catholic Bishops.”

Question 4: “Who became Catholics?”

Answer: “People who were closer to God became Catholics. The institutions they abandoned became quickly corrupted as the holiest people left. Soon, all the non-Catholics in Jerusalem were at war with each other. Josephus tells us how greedy ‘innovators’ encouraged rebellions that brought destruction to nearly everyone in Judah and Benjamin.

Question 5: “What finally happened?”

Answer: “Gangs of murderers seized the lands of Judah and Benjamin. Romans destroyed them. A few years later, it happened again. Then, in 136 AD a third Jewish War wiped out many in those Tribes in North Africa and the Middle East.

Question 6: “How did the Early Catholics escape?”

Answer: “In the First Jewish War, God sent them to Pella, North of Jerusalem. In the decades that followed, Catholics began to become important in both military and civilian bureaucracies throughout The Roman Empire. They were less likely than others to use their offices to steal and loot.”

Question 7: “When did the persecution of Catholics begin to spread widely?”

Answer: “Eusebius tells in in his Book, Ecclesiastical History, Book VIII. About 305 years after The Birth of He Who Spoke The Catholic Church Into Being, the enemies of His Church made a widely organized attack upon Her.”

Question 8: “How did their attack begin?”

Answer: “Chapter One of Book VIII tells us in Verse 8. ‘These persecutions began with the brethren in the Army.’ By that time, Roman legions had many Catholic soldiers. The forces of Evil knew they had to get rid of them before they could get rid of the remaining Catholics.”

Question 9: “Is that always a sign that Persecution of Catholics is coming?”

Answer: “Every war against The Church begins by removing Catholics from that nations’ armed forces.”

Question 10: “How did Catholics survive those long years of attacks?”

Answer: “God blessed and protected them, despite the laxity in their faith that kept many from being good Catholics.”
