This is the last day of the year! What does St. John tell us to do?

Answer: “That is why he repeats ‘Thus we know this is the last hour.’!”

Answer: “They made the wrong choice! ‘They went out from us, but they were not really of our number; if they had been, they would have remained with us.”

Answer: “St. John again repeats a simple truth! ‘Their desertion shows that none of them was of our number.’”

Answer: “Yes! ‘But you (obedient Catholics) have the anointing that comes from the Holy One, and you (obedient Catholics) all have knowledge.’”

Answer: “Yes! ‘I write to you (obedient Catholics) not because you do not know the truth but because you (obedient Catholics) do, and because every lie is alien to the truth.’”

Answer: “St. John is clear that Catholics are blessed to know: ‘. . every lie is alien to The Truth.’”
