Jeremiah: four “ifs” identify those in “the den of thieves”. #48.

Jeremiah and Jesus agree: May all be blessed to avoid "dens of thieves" and be pleasing to God.

Question 1: “Did God have The Prophet Jeremiah tell us how to get into Heaven?”

Answer: “Jeremiah 7:1-11 is clear: ‘The following message came to Jeremiah from God: ‘Stand at the gate of The House of The Lord and there proclaim this message: ‘Hear the word of The Lord, all you of Judah who enter these gates to worship The Lord!’

Question 2: “After we ‘listen’ to ‘the word of The Lord’, what are we to do?”

Answer: “Every man, woman, and child is told to do one thing! ‘Thus says The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Reform your ways and your deeds, so that I may remain with you in this place.’

Question 3: “Did God tell Jeremiah what each person must do to be saved?”

Answer: “Jeremiah gives us Four ‘Ifs’ we must obey to be saved! ‘1. if you reform your ways and your deeds; 2. if each of you deals justly with his neighbor; 3. if you no longer oppress the resident alien, the orphan, and the widow; 4. if you no longer shed innocent blood in this place, or follow strange gods to your own harm’ then ‘I will remain with you in this place, in the land I gave your fathers long ago and forever.’

Question 4: “Does God tell Jeremiah what will send our soul to hell?”

Answer: “‘But here you are, putting your trust in deceitful words to your own loss! Are you to steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal, go after strange gods that you know not, and yet come to stand before Me in this house which bears My name, and say: ‘We are safe; we can commit all these abominations again?’?”

~

Question 5: “What do such people do that offends God?”

Answer: “God asks a simple question each of us must answer about our chosen faith! ‘Has this house which bears My Name become in your eyes a den of thieves?’ where obedience to God is mocked?”

Eternal doom awaits every soul that dies in any ‘den of thieves’: ‘I too see what is being done, says The Lord.’

Question 6: “Does Jesus confirm Jeremiah’s Prophecy of Doom for those who let themselves live and die in any ‘den of thieves’?”

Answer: “Mt 13:24-30 tells us where those in ‘the den of thieves’ originate and what He will do to them at Judgment! ‘Let them grow together until harvest; then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters, ‘First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning; but gather the wheat into my barn.’

Judgment Day is coming! May we all be blessed to obey The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Pope and be forever among His grains of “wheat’:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
