Question 1: “What Three Things are Jesus Christ?”

Answer: “Today’s Reading is John 14:1-6. At the end of That Reading, Jesus tells us that He is Three Things! ‘Jesus said to Thomas, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.’

Question 2: “How do Catholics know Jesus is ‘the way, the truth, and the life’?”

Answer: “Catholics know Jesus is ‘The Way’! He told His followers ‘No one comes to the Father except through Me.’

Question 3: “What is the ‘Truth’ Jesus left with us?”

Answer: “‘Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in Me.’

Question 4: “What is the ‘Life’ Jesus promises us?”

Answer: “That ‘Life’ is the eternal joy of Heaven! ‘In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?’

Question 5: “How will Jesus get us into the ‘Life’ He promises?”

Answer: “‘I will come back again and take you to Myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.‘”

Question 6: “Do Catholics worry about staying on ‘the way’?”

Answer: “‘Jesus said to His disciples: ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in Me.’

Question 7: “‘Thomas said to Him, ‘Master, we do not know where You are going; how can we know the way?’ Did at least one of the Disciple’s ‘hearts’ still remain ‘troubled’?

Answer: “That is one of the reasons St. Thomas is known to Catholics as ‘doubting Thomas’! He is a Great Blessing to us all! St. Thomas puts his ‘doubts’ into words He addresses to Jesus so we may benefit from His Truth! It is ‘doubts’ of Thomas that led Jesus to remind us:

‘Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’
