Jesus promised: “I come to divide.” He kept His promise.

Jesus promised: “I come to divide.” He kept His promise. Jesus divided mankind into two groups. “You are My friends if you obey My commands.” is one group. The other group: His willfully disobedient enemies.

We all have free will. Catholics choose to obey The Only Church-Founding Decree of Jesus:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Obeying Jesus lets Catholics be among His obedient “friends”. They have direct access to “the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.”

The other group is comprised of all who willfully refuse to obey Jesus’ Only Church-Founding Decree. Those who willfully disobey include atheists, agnostics, Adventists, Baptists, Buddhists, Methodists, Moslems, and many, many more.

Protestants do choose to believe in Jesus. Their claims of “belief” are not accompanied by obedience. Their refusal to obey Jesus takes theological form in the vanity of Protestantism. “No one is going to tell me what to do!”

That is why there are over 45,000 Protestant denominations. Many of their donors willfully and skillfully choose to avoid The Only Church Jesus Founded.

But, believers still want to get to Heaven! “Belief is all I need. I believe in as much of Jesus as I want! That’s all I have to do! I just repeat ‘I believe in Jesus!’ That’s all I need to do.”

Judas did not think he needed to obey Jesus. He had been with Jesus for three years. Jesus had threatened the jobs of scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, money-changers, and teachers. They were so worried by His threat that they threatened the job of Pontius Pilate, the Roman in charge.

Judas wanted the approval of men more than he wanted to obey Jesus. He embodied Protestantism.
