In Today’s Reading, 1 Thessalonians 1:1-5,8-10, St. Paul tells all who have become Catholic in the past 2,000 years that we forever receive This Blessing from His Saints:
“We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father, knowing, brothers and sisters loved by God, how you were chosen.”
Today’s “Alleluia” tells what two things Catholics do to be “chosen”! “My sheep hear My voice, says The Lord; I know them and they answer Me.”
Then, in Today’s Gospel from t. 23:13-22, Jesus Christ, Himself, promises “to the crowds and to His Disciples” what will happen to the souls of those who do the greatest harm on earth:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You lock the Kingdom of Heaven before men. You do not enter yourselves, nor do you allow entrance to those trying to enter.”
The most “woe-filled” people on earth deny that God Downloaded The Creation Program 13.5 trillion light-years ago and sent Jesus to save the souls of all who would obey The Church-Creating Word with which He Spoke One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Into Being and empowered His Catholic priests and religious to provide The Seven Catholic Sacraments, among the “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven“:
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Catholics know Jesus is telling us of the “woe” these “blind guides and fools” must suffer forever: “Woe to you, blind guides, who say ‘If one swears by the temple, it means nothing, but if one swears by the gold of the temple, one is obligated.” Jesus identifies such people as “blind fools” who believe their “offerings” are more important than the God Who provided the “altar”!
Catholics know that “blind guides and Pharisees” include all who enrich themselves with lies that keep the souls of all who support every self-serving lie, including environmental, educational, and other governmental attacks on families, from Heaven.
