Jesus tells us why we should be Catholic!

Clouds keep light from reaching us.  Clouds take many forms.  Many clouds are in our mind!  Luke 9: 57-62 tells us how we let “clouds” keep us from light.  Jesus tells us why we should be Catholic!

“As Jesus and his disciples were proceeding on their journey, someone said to him,  “I will follow you wherever you go.”

That person had “seen the light” Who is Jesus!

“Jesus answered him, ‘Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.’”  Thoughts in the “head” of Jesus had no place to rest in peace on earth.

Jesus then gave another direct order!

“And to another He said, “Follow me.”  But he replied, ‘Lord, let me go first and bury my father.’  But He answered him, ‘Let the dead bury their dead.
But you, go and proclaim the Kingdom of God.’”

Jesus told us very directly!  Our earthly concerns are “clouds”.  They keep us from seeing the need to immediately obey Every Teaching of Jesus Christ.

~

Jesus repeated His Teaching!  “And another said, ‘I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say farewell to my family at home.’  Jesus answered him, ‘No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the Kingdom of God.’”

That means one thing!   Earthly concerns keep all of us from immediate and perfect obedience to Every Teaching of Jesus Christ.  Therefore, no one is “fit for the Kingdom of God”!

~

It is a blessing to be Catholic!  We obey the clear call to Catholic Communion that Jesus Christ repeated fourteen times!  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Catholics receive His Body and Blood in every Catholic Mass that followed The Last Supper!  We see that we have His “life in” us!  The clouds in our mind are blown away!

We are “fit for The Kingdom of God”!  Jesus tells us why we should be Catholic!
