Do we know the three Protestant Personalities?
Eve was Protestant Personality #1. God told her not to eat the apple. She ignored Him. She saw that it tasted good, looked good, and made her smarter. Protestant Personality #1 decides: “I have a right to what tastes good, looks good, and makes me smarter!”
After Eve ate the apple, Protestant evangelizing immediately emerged! “I need Adam to join me in disobeying God. Adam must listen to me, not God! We’ll have our own denomination: ‘People who don’t need God!'”
The Bible is clear. Eve, Protestant Personality #1 disobeys and leads others to disobey. Then, Scripture shows how Protestant Personality #2 values the approval of people more than God. She quickly convinced poor Adam, Protestant Personality #2: “Take a bite of the apple! You only see God once in a while. You have to live with me 24/7! Do it, now!”
God threw Protestant Personality #1 and Protestant Personality #2 out of The Garden.
They had children. Cain was the sum of his parts. Protestant Personality #1, Eve + Protestant Personality #2, Adam, = Protestant Personality #3, Cain! Cain clearly combined vanity and cowardice: “I am so afraid of not feeling good about myself that I will kill anyone who might be better than me!”
Cain railed against his obedient brother. “I hate Abel! He works hard! He does what God tells him. I have to scrounge around for a few roots, berries, birds, and animals to eat. Abel figures out farming and animal husbandry! He has plenty of food. God loves Abel. Abel loves God. I hate Abel. I hate God!”
In every age, Protestant Personality #1 and Protestant Personality #2 produce Protestant Personality #3. From Babylon to Luther to Lenin, the three Protestant Personalities are at war with God and His Church.
When Protestant Personalities are not at war with God and His Church, they are at war with each other. That’s pretty much all there is to human history.
