Once, he was known as Dis. Today, we may better relate by seeing that he’s a virus.

The Roman’s God of the underworld was Dis, a tradition that carried through to Dante and on to us, today. His goal is to spread confusion and destruction. We see clearly that Dis always supported any person or group who wanted to undermine or destroy existing organizations, whether in religion, families, businesses, or governments. Today, Dis works through Communists, environmentalists, and members of religions that have embraced hatred and murder as a way of life.

Dis, whom we may now understand better as a corrupting virus of The Programmer’s Programs, still hates the same things he’s always hated. He works to destroy faith, family, and any sort of independent units.

Just as the Romans found it helpful to understand the forces of destruction by personifying them in Dis, we can now see that those working to destroy us are viruses, attacking every single program, including their own.

When Jesus was on earth, He never encouraged His followers to eradicate the those who carried Dis’s viruses. He drove some of them out of people, but focused more on loving neighbors, whether they were infected with the viruses of Dis, or not.

We may infer that some of these bad viruses may be changed, or driven away, by loving the soul, mind, and body they’ve infected. They are only full of hate because no one loved them.
