Catholics often have to hear people tell us: “Why I left The Only Church Jesus Founded.” The real reason? They wanted to be in a relationship of which The Church disapproved. Humble obedience is replaced with: “The Church does not meet my needs.” 45,000 Marketing Plan Denominations have Pastor Bobs who are eager to “meet their needs.”
“I will tell you that you are smart and good and going to Heaven! Now, give me some money.”
Every exit is accompanied by insulting Jesus. “Jesus was wrong to say: ‘Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’ I can find ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ in my own mind and heart!”
Many make very good livings by promising Heaven to those who leave The Only Church Jesus Founded. They teach new donors the usual justifications. “Catholics worship idols!” “We believe in The Bible, alone!” “I am a good person.” “Once saved, always saved.” “I love my new friends and they love me!” “The Catholic Church makes things too complicated!” “Pastor Bob understands me!” “The word ‘Catholic’ is not in The Bible.” My new church has lots of activities!”
Such fatuous twaddle is applauded! Many dream of repeating such things to admiring crowds.
Those who leave The Church must live in an awful contradiction: “I believe in Jesus and The Bible. But, both Jesus and The Bible are wrong to include: “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Life is a test. Those who truly “believe in Jesus and The Bible” realize that Jesus Only Founded One Church.
Those who pass the test do not knowingly reject The Only Church Jesus Founded.
Gratefully obedient Catholics may be blessed to be among those of whom Jesus said: “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
