Lots of Good and Cheerful News

Some say that “No news is good news.” And, they’re right. On the other hand, if they said, “All news is good news.”, they’d be right, too.

When we remember an old line from an old poem by Browning, “God’s in His Heaven, all’s right with the world!”, it’s harder for us to be discouraged by what’s going on around us. It reminds us that things are happening the way He wants, when He wants, where He wants.

According to Catholic Fundamentalism, there is no “bad” news. All that any “news” means is that the huge Creation Program is running according to schedule. We just want to be sure that we, ourselves, are operating within it the way He wants. If we’re not, we will find out what “bad news” really means. It isn’t good.
