May our “Jesus Receiver” get us ready for “tomorrow”! #28.

Reminders of Past Judgment Days prepare Catholics for God's Final Judgment Day.

Reminders of Past Judgment Days prepare Catholics for God’s Final Judgment Day.

Question 1:  “What is the ‘tomorrow’ for which Catholics prepare?”

Answer:  “Judgment Day!  The Prophet Jeremiah (33:14-16) warned us 2,600 years ago to ‘get ready’ for Jesus!’  ‘The days are coming, says The Lord,  when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and Judah.
In those days, in that time, I will raise up for David a just shoot;  He shall do what is right and just in the land.
In those days Judah shall be safe and Jerusalem shall dwell secure;  This is what they shall call her:  ‘The Lord our justice.’

Question 2:  “How do Catholics respond to Jeremiah?”

Answer:  “He echoes Psalm 25, 4-5,8-9, 13, 14 that gave us these instructions 3,000 years ago!  ‘To You, O Lord, I lift my soul.’  That lets His Purifying Light destroy the shadows lurking in our minds.  We ask Him to ‘make known Your ways’ to ‘teach me Your paths, guide me in Your Truth and teach me, show sinners the way, guide the humble to justice, and teach the humble His Way.’

Question 3:  “Do those who are ‘humble’ heed over 300 Prophecies that specifically predicted Jesus being born in the tiny village of Bethlehem to a virgin of The House of David and be lifted up before men and looked upon by those who pierced Him?’

Answer:  “Those blessed to take The Prophets seriously make this request:  ‘Show us, Lord, Your love;  and grant us Your salvation.’

Catholics are blessed!  We respect The Prophets enough to most fully realize that Jesus is The Prophesied Messiah and that He died to give these ‘keys’ to His First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”

Question 4: “How do Catholics prepare for ‘The Son of Man coming in a cloud with Power and Great Glory.’?”

Answer:  “We don’t argue with God’s Prophets!  We heed our Daily Bible Readings and ask God to ‘Show us, Lord, Your love and grant us Your Salvation.’ from Psalm 85:8.  Then, we see the Prophesy of Jesus in Luke 21:25-28 and 34:36 predicting people  ‘perplexed by the roaring of the sea (which also means ‘ranting of confused people’) and the waves’ (people following popular fads), many ‘dying of fright’.

Catholics realize that Prophecies come true for us as individuals, nations, and all the people on earth.  That’s why we ‘stand erect and raise our heads, because our redemption is at hand.’  We do not ‘let our hearts become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and daily anxieties.’

“Catholics know that we must pray: / To  pass God’s Test on Judgment Day.”
