No one says “Be Catholic!” as clearly as St. John! 1.

There were 12 Apostles.  Eleven of them became Catholic Bishops.  They Founded Catholic Churches that sent Catholic representatives to Catholic Councils for hundreds of centuries!

Jesus loved St. John!   No one says “Be Catholic!” as clearly as St. John!

~

St. John perfectly tells us “Who” and “What” Jesus is!  John 1:1 begins:  “In the beginning was The Word:  The Word was with God and The Word was God.”

St. John puts Jesus into time!

“He was with God in the beginning.”

~

St. John tells us what Jesus had done!

“Through Him all things came to be, not one thing had its being but through Him.”

Then, St. John makes it clearer!  He tells us of the great war between light and darkness.

“All that came to be had life in Him and that life was the light of men, a light that shines in the dark, a light that darkness could not overpower.”

~

St. John has given us a profound understanding of all there is!  He  described The Creator and Creation!   He has shown us literal truth.

And, he has given us symbolic truth!

Every Catholic knows!  The war between “light” and “darkness” is between good and evil!  We spend our lives in that war.  Truth battles lies.  Love stands against hate.  Life fights against death.

Catholic Fundamentalism sees it this way:  “God Spoke Creation Into Being!  We live in the great battlefield.  It is formed from the reverberating echoes of God’s Word.  We are all soldiers.  We fight for love, truth, and life.”

~

Every Catholic obeys This Word of The Word:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Every Catholic prays to have the “little whisper” that is our soul be forever among These words of The Word“You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
