Mt. 13: 45-46 is a doorway to Heaven.

Human souls are the pearls.  God is “like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls”.  Who is “the one pearl of great price”?

Mary is the Most Perfect of Created Entities.  She was conceived without Original Sin.  She spent her entire life in perfect obedience.  Her Son, both God and man, had no flaws in His Divinity or His Humanity.   We know that His Human Form was perfect because He was able to resist all earthly temptation.  Therefore, His Human DNA could have had no flaws.  Of all humanity, Mary is the “one pearl of great price”.

She was worth His dying for!  He suffered and died, (“sold all that He had and bought it”) to buy Her Perfect Soul.  The Most Perfect Created Entity Ever had lived and died without flaw.  The Only Church Jesus Founded teaches us that The Mother of God, the “pearl of great price”, was “assumed into Heaven”.

Is there hope for us?  The passage is clear.  The “merchant” is “seeking beautiful pearls”.  Pearls is plural!  He was not simply seeking the most perfect pearl, but all “beautiful pearls”.

What makes a pearl “beautiful” to God?

Jesus was very explicit.  “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”  Therefore, the souls He seeks are obedient.

How do we best show obedience?  We heed:  “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Souls blessed with such obedience know that His Catholic priests are able to forgive sins and preside over the changing of bread and wine into His Actual Body and Blood.  We obey the clear call to Catholic Communion Jesus repeated 14 times:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Obedient souls do not quibble with His teachings.  Souls who choose obedience over vanity become “beautiful pearls”.
