The devil used “Circumcision” to divide and destroy the early Catholic Church.
Fallen angels hated the Church Spoken Into Being by The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Pope! “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.” The devil appealed to the vanity that still leads Victims of Protestantism to believe, “I know more than Jesus about that!”
Many early Jewish converts believed that the preceding 4,000 years of Abraham’s Traditions, taking form under Moses, should guide the Catholic Church. Acts 15:1-6 explains: “Some who had come down from Judea were instructing the brothers, ‘Unless you are circumcised according to the Mosaic practice, you cannot be saved.” . . . It was decided that Paul, Barnabas, and some of the others should go up to Jerusalem to the Apostles and presbyters (the first Catholic priests) about this question.”
Who began the “Circumcision Argument” ?
Today’s Reading explains: “When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by The Church as well as by the Apostles and presbyters, and they reported what God had done with them. But some from the party of the Pharisees who had become believers stood up and said, ‘It is necessary to circumcise them and direct them to observe the Mosaic Law.”
What Tradition did the First Catholics begin to solve such disagreements?”
They called a Church Council, and “The Apostles and presbyters met together to see about this matter.” Prayer and discussion have always helped obedient Catholics remain among those whose souls are blessed with “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”. May all be blessed to be guided by Catholic Councils and have those “keys”!
