Only Catholics can see and do what “the blind beggar” did.

From the First Catholic Bishops to Bartimaeus to St. Paul, Jesus blesses many with the light to see!

“Question 1:  “Is everyone who becomes Catholic like Bartimaeus, the ‘blind beggar’ in Today’s Catholic Reading, Mk 10:46-52?”

Answer:  “Some ‘blind beggars’ hear that Truth came to earth in Human Form when He Who Filled The Prophecies, ‘The Son of David’ was born in Bethlehem.  When we see that, many plead with God, ‘Let me see Truth!’

~

Question 2:  “How does that plea let us see why we should be Catholic?”

Answer:  “He Who Is Truth Spoke One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Into Being with His Church-Creating Word to The First Catholic Pope!  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 3:  “What is the best way to ask Jesus to let us see Truth?”

Answer:  “Live by the words of ‘the blind beggar’, Bartimaeus, who cried out:  ‘Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me.’

~

Question 4:  “What should we do when Jesus hears our prayer and stops moving away from us?”

Answer:  “First, we must ignore those who want Jesus to pay attention to them and not to us by repeating ‘Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me.’ and ignoring those who criticize our plea:  ‘Many rebuked him, telling him to be silent.'”

Then ‘Jesus stopped’.  He gave This Order to His disciples, The First Catholic priests and Bishops:  ‘Call him.’

Question 5:  “What happened?”

Answer:  “His Disciples obeyed The Direct Order from Jesus that Catholic priests and religious have been obeying for 2,000 years.  ‘They called to the blind man, saying to him’ Three Direct Orders:

  2. get up,
  3. Jesus is calling you.’

Question 6:  “What did ‘the blind beggar’ do?”

Answer:  “Bartimaeus did three things in obedience to the First Catholic priests:

  1. ‘He threw aside his cloak’.  He was blessed with the obedience to give up his most valued possession that had kept him warm for all the years he spent blindly begging.
  2. ‘He sprang up’.  He stopped sitting!
  3. ‘He came to Jesus.'”

~

Question 10: “What did the ‘blind beggar’ do after  he ‘immediately received his sight and followed Him on the way.’?”

Catholics see something else!  We see that The Saving Light of Jesus appeared to Saul on The Road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19).  He, like Bartimaeus and billions of Catholics who followed, spent the rest of our life on God’s whirling globe as a Catholic “on the way”.

God made The Glory of Heaven for formerly “blind beggars” who “get up, put aside their cloaks”, and “came close enough to Jesus” to get “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”.
