Only Catholics know: Today’s Reading is about a very dangerous kind of demon.

Jesus told His Disciples, The First Catholic Bishops, that one kind of demon is hard to drive out of a person.

Question 1:  “Who is possessed by the  kind of demon that is hard to drive away?”

Answer:  “Those who do not want to understand that The Disciples of Jesus were His First Catholic Bishops.”

~

Question 2:  “Is that in The Bible?”

Answer:  “Look at Today’s Reading!  Sirach 1:1-10 describes the Awesome Power of God to speak a Universe into Being that is 30 trillion light years from one side to another.  He has poured forth all His Works and has lavished knowledge of that upon His friends.’

That, and Psalm 93:1,2, and 5 tell us God is ‘robed in majesty, girt about with strength, and made the world, creation, firm on in His Creation’ that has been standing for 13 trillion light years!  ‘His decrees are worthy of trust!

Question 3:  “Does everyone who meaningfully respects God know that His Word includes over 300 Specific Prophecies about the coming of He Who would be and do what 2 Timothy 1: describes:  ‘Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life to light through the Gospel.’?”

Answer:  “That ‘light’ is what lets Catholics see the Truth shared by Jesus in His description of this kind of demon in Mark 9:14-29:   Details are important:

‘As Jesus came down from the mountain with Peter, James, and John, He approached the other disciples and saw a large crowd around them and scribes arguing with them. Immediately on seeing Him, the whole crowd was utterly amazed  (at how Jesus appeared at precisely the right place and time to answer their question!).  They ran up to Him and greeted Him.’  Jesus asked them to speak the question that concerned them:  ‘What are you arguing about with them?’

Then, ‘Someone from the crowd answered Him:  ‘Teacher, I have brought to You my son possessed by a mute spirit.  Wherever it seizes him, it throws him down;  he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid.  I asked Your disciples to drive it out, but they were unable to do so.’

Jesus had them ‘bring him to Me’, and when he saw Jesus, the spirit immediately threw the boy into convulsions.  He fell to the ground, he began to roll around and foam at the mouth.’

Jesus asked the father:  ‘How long has this been happening to him?’ and was told that ‘since childhood, it has often thrown him into fire and water to kill him.  But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.’

As Jesus watched, a ‘crowd was gathering rapidly’ that would spread knowledge of Jesus and His Power.  Right in front of them, He ‘rebuked the unclean spirit and said to it: ‘Mute and deaf spirit, I command you: ‘Come out of him and never enter him again!’.”

Question 4:  What does ‘the mute and deaf spirit’ symbolize?”

Answer:  “Only Catholics can understand!  ‘The mute and deaf spirit’ is every demon of vanity that makes many minds unable to ‘speak’ or ‘hear’ or live in grateful obedience to The Church-Creating Word of Jesus Christ to His First Catholic Pope!  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “Every Word of Jesus is a Truth that sets us free / and lets Catholic souls be with God for all eternity.”
