Jesus was precise:  only the obedient get into Heaven. He made that clear!  “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”   The most obedient of us are His Saints and Martyrs.

Practicing Catholics are blessed! We have reminders of obedient Saints in our churches! Protestants usually avoid reminders of Holy Men, Women, and Angels. “I don’t need them! They’re no better than me!”

Since we know that only the obedient may get into Heaven, Catholics know we must obey The Only Church-Founding Decree of Jesus:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Catholics are blessed to realize: “If I willingly reject the only ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ that Jesus left on earth, I cannot get into Heaven.”  Catholics control our desires for status, popularity, and wealth. Giving into them keeps us from obeying Jesus.

The willfully disobedient believe in themselves.  “I do not need to obey Jesus!  I only need to do what I think is right.”

Some are led to think that merely saying “I believe in Jesus!” is the same as obeying Him. The most confused people on earth believe they may get into Heaven by themselves. “I reject The Only Church Jesus Founded!  I decide which of the teachings of Jesus are worthy of being obeyed.”

That ridiculousness is magnified when they insist:  “Jesus loves me!  He has to let me into Heaven!”

That is sheer ego-mania.  It is self-worship!  It is absurd.  Even the devil could not force his way into Heaven! Still, many people believe they know more than Jesus, even as they say, “Jesus is God.”

Catholics respect Jesus enough to be in The Only Church He gave “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.” Catholics are blessed to know that we cannot get into Heaven without “the keys” Jesus gave to The Only Church He Founded.

Catholics know that only the obedient may get into Heaven.
