Parish Priest, warrior extraordinaire.

More than anyone else, the Catholic priest wages a daily battle with the forces of death. All of us know that lies lead to sin, sin to death, and that the death of the unforgiven is followed by eternal agony.

The priest not only understands this better than we, but also, he gives his life to fight for the eternal joy of souls. Wielding the Sacraments like sword and shield, he defends us from the assaults of those fallen powers and principalities whose mission is our destruction.

He takes the offensive, as well. He prays for our well-being in this life and the next. He is the yeast that makes the lump of dough to rise and become bread. He is celibate, he is poor, and he is obedient.

He is like Christ.

When it comes to the Sacraments, he is Christ.

(Your priest already knows how incredibly important he is. You may want to let him know that Catholic Fundamentalists appreciate his greatness, as well. In fact, he may not even know what Catholic Fundamentalism is. Too many Catholics do not.)
