Jeremiah was an important Prophet of the Old Testament. He warned apostate clergy of Old Testament times and he warns the Pastors Bob of today.
What does God promise to those who separate innocent souls from The Only Church He Founded? He tells us clearly, in Jer 23:1-6.
“Woe to the shepherds who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture, says the LORD.” When God begins His revelation to any group with the words “Woe to ________.”, smarter people ask, “Am I in that group? If so, I’m getting out!”
God’s promised punishment for false shepherds is made even more clear:
“Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who shepherd my people: You have scattered my sheep and driven them away. You have not cared for them, but I will take care to punish your evil deeds.”
How smart do you have to be to not want to be among those who have “scattered My sheep and driven them away”?
Who is not smart enough to understand that it is about those who scatter others into 43,000 conflicting schisms that God clearly says: “I will take care to punish your evil deeds.”
Really, how smart can people who lead schisms be? They say “I believe in God and The Bible.” The brighter members of a Pastors Bob faction may ask: “Jesus only founded One Church, saying ‘Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’ Pastor Bob, you tell us that ‘Jesus is God’, but you continue drawing a salary to keep us from The Only Church Jesus Founded.”
The smarter person who sees the schism’s contradictions may continue: “Pastor Bob, God doesn’t just say that He is going to punish you. He says, “I will take care to punish your evil deeds.” Really. God said that. About you. You are a paid clergyperson in a schism that allows artificial birth control, endless divorce and remarriage, abortion and fornication. He has promised to “take care to punish your evil deeds”. Isn’t it among “evil deeds” to encourage us to support such weak, immoral teaching? Aren’t you are heading straight for the Wrath of God? I don’t want to be rude, but, Pastor Bob, are you crazy?”
For those able to escape into The Only Church Founded from the 43,000 schisms run by half a million Pastors Bob, Jeremiah promises:
“I myself will gather the remnant of my flock from all the lands (and schisms?) to which I have driven them and bring them back to their meadow; there they shall increase and multiply. I will appoint shepherds for them who will shepherd them so that they need no longer fear and tremble; and none shall be missing, says the LORD.”
Priests in The Only Church Jesus Founded take away fear and trembling with Absolution and Communion. We may be saved. Those who refuse His grace have another fate in store. For the Pastors Bob: the coming horror.
For us? Each of us is free to pray, ponder, and do what is necessary to be received into The Only Church Jesus Founded. It’s a start.
