Today’s Bible Reading gives the world some of the shortest, simplest reasons to Be Catholic! 1 Timothy 2-12 begins with The Direct Order from St. Paul:
“Beloved: Teach and urge these things.” (“these things” are Teachings of The Catholic Church that took form by The Church-Creating Word of He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies to His First Catholic Pope: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”)
“Whoever teaches something different” (Beliefs in Zeus, Mercury, Venus, thousands of other pagan gods, and all who taught followers to avoid respecting The Prophets enough to obey He Who Fulfilled their Prophecies.)
“and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord, Jesus Christ and the religious teaching (provided by The 12 Apostles, the first Catholic Bishops) is conceited, understanding nothing, and has a morbid disposition for arguments and verbal disputes.” (That is a perfect description of the self-loving vanities that keep many from obeying He Who did fulfill over 300 Prophecies about When, Where, and Why He would come to earth!)
Then, St. Paul describes every Protestant Marketing Plan in History! “From these come envy, rivalry, insults, evil suspicions, and mutual friction among people with corrupted minds. They are deprived of the truth, supposing religion to be a means of gain.”
The results of letting ourselves be misled by Marketing Plans: “Those who want to be rich are falling into temptation and into a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge them into ruin and destruction.” (The fate of those who knowingly reject “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” that Jesus died to leave to His First Catholic Pope!)
Then, St. Paul tells us why thousands of Protestant Marketing Plans lead their donors to disrespect The Prophets and He Whom they predicted: “For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains.” That passage even gives the hope of Heaven to rich people who have not “strayed from the faith”!
Today’s “Alleluia” from Mt. 11:25 is the guide every Catholic strives to follow: “Blessed are You, Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth; You have revealed to little ones (we who are blessed to Be Catholic!) the mysteries of the Kingdom.”
~
Today’s Simple Rhyme: “God’s ‘little ones get Heaven’s keys’. / The swollen souls that demons seize / Do not.”
