No Problem Must Be Solved, No Truth May Be Told

Older readers will remember the “Acid Rain” scare of the 70s and 80s. It was one of the earlier frauds, and lots of trusting people were very worried. One of the most vulnerable “habitats” was said to be the many small lakes and ponds in New England, which was reported to be “bearing the brunt” of the “acid rain”. These lakes numbered in the thousands. It was suggested that airplanes fly over them and drop some lime in the water to neutralize the acid rain, which would have solved the problem. From the left’s reaction, one would have thought that this common-sense solution was worse than treason. And, to those making a living from the problem, it was. Instead, every automobile were was with expensive “catalytic converters”, the manufacturers of which were especially concerned about stopping “acid rain before it completely destroyed the environment”. Their use of platinum as a catalyst help prop up the Soviet economy.

A few years before that, someone had the bright idea of stopping or weakening hurricanes by dropping dry ice on them. Project Stormfury, as it was known, actually was said to have some positive benefits. But, insurance companies were selling a lot of hurricane insurance, builders were making a lot of money rebuilding destroyed buildings. Project Stormfury, despite it’s overlooked successes, just disappeared. Hurricanes are still a profitable source of alarm, providing justifications for controlling anything that may cause them to appear in ever-deadlier, ever-larger numbers.

We see endless fraud with the Imaginary Problems of first, Global Freezing, then Global Warming, then Climate Change, and now it’s called something like “Climate Disaster”. Numbers have been falsified, lies have been told, and still the problem goes on. Those supporting it continue to lie. The problem cannot be solved without the total regimentation of every human being on earth. The drive to achieve an unprecedented degree of control over human life is behind the Climate Frauds, so they are not lies that will be quickly released.

Over a million people caught malaria last year. Most of them will die, all will have more painful lives. DDT usage had nearly eliminated malaria. The Culture of Death made DDT both difficult and illegal to produce. That was a death sentence, imposed by environmentalists, on millions of people. No one is allowed to actually solve the problem, no media tells the truth about it. In the meantime, people living over valuable mineral deposits are disappearing, rather than multiplying. Those who’d like those deposits don’t want anything done to impede their access to them.

The dreaded “Ozone Hole” was said to be causing the penguins of Antarctica and the sheep of Patagonia to be going blind, their eyes destroyed by the sun’s rays. To stop the alleged cause of the problem, freon, from “destroying the environment”, freon became a tightly regulated substance. We used to be able to go to a K-Mart and buy a can of freon for .99 cents and use the little hose that came with it to recharge our air conditioners. Now, that same can of freon costs twenty dollars, and can only be installed by a licensed professional. The cost of producing the freon is the same, and the amount of freon sold is the same, but the profit margins, because of “environmentalists” and their ability to pass laws to profit them and those who hire them, have increased obscenely.

Asbestos exaggerations have been popular with the Death & Lies people for decades. While some asbestos miners and workers, after life-long exposure to clouds of asbestos, did get lung diseases and cancers, hardly anyone else was affected. A new, politically-connected industry of asbestos removers and inspectors continues to destroy market values of real estate all over the United States, making everyone poorer, except the surprisingly prosperous asbestos removers and inspectors.

So, as far as The Culture of Death and Lies is concerned, no problem may be solved, no truth may be told. It has been this way since Babylon, and will be until the end. Our job is not to get so distracted and/or obsessed by such things that we lose sight of our most important job, which is saving our own soul.
