The Programmer programmed

The Programmer programmed things the way He did in order to provide us with free will. It doesn’t matter whether He wrote the Creation Program a long time ago, or, if He programmed it ten or fifteen thousand years ago. The particles, energies, systems, and beings that were programmed and downloaded were made to exist in such a way that some people can choose to believe Creation is billions of years old. On the other hand, some are able to believe that He programmed the whole thing in place so that we free-will programs could freely make one of three choices: it was produced by a loving God, it came into being by accident, or was made by some unfeeling, uncaring God Who’s gone on to other things.

The important thing about The Creation Program is that it gives each of us a lifetime of opportunities to lie or to tell the truth about any number of things. When we tell a lie, we get a “bad mark” on our soul. When we believe a lie, we get a similar negative score, the size of which is determined by the obviousness of the lie and whether we believed the lie because we lacked either the courage or the energy to find the truth.

Every time we tell the truth, we get a “good mark” on our soul. The harder the truth is to tell, the greater the reward we receive. If, to give an extreme example, the person in front of us buys a lottery ticket, and it falls to the ground while items are being packaged, and we pick it up and win a hundred million dollars, do we tell the truth?

If, in that situation, we told the truth, every angel and saint in Heaven would know about it. “Look what that person did!”, they would say with love and joy. If we did not sully ourselves afterwards, our soul would be welcomed among them forever.
