A lie about The Church

Today, Catholic Fundamentalism was informed, for the thousandth time, that “Catholic worship idols!” That is a lie about The Church. Who would tell such a lie about The Church? Most people know the facts:

Jesus, Son of God, fulfilled the Old Testament Prophecies. He arrived, lived, and departed according to predictions made a thousand years and more before His birth.

While He was on earth, Jesus founded One Church. Mt. 16: 18-20 is clear. “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you The Keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
By the Grace of God, and the Guidance of The Holy Spirit, The Only Church Jesus Founded has been headquartered in Rome for over two thousand years. Empires, kings, and kingdoms have come and gone. Arians, Moslems, Huns, Goths, Vandals, Mongols, Levelers, Socialists, Communists, Facists, and democracies have risen and fallen. Revolutions have swept across Europe and the world. The Only Church Jesus Founded has endured, unchanged in doctrine.

In light of that incredible consistency, is it even reasonable to conclude “The Only Church Jesus Founded worships idols.”? We know that most Protestants are aware that Catholics do not worship idols. They might consider telling those who pass on such untruths to stop, if only as to not go on embarrassing them.

Such a lie about The Church is seen to be even less rational when we see moral inconsistency of those making such accusations. Many of the 43,000 denominations have abandoned teachings on masturbation, fornication, artificial birth control, rampant divorce, and abortion when they became unpopular. The Only Church Jesus Founded has stood firmly on every element of The Faith Handed Down From the Apostles.

It is crucial to understand: Five hundred years ago, The Thousand Year Reign of The Church Jesus Founded came to an end. Revelation 20 predicted what would happen: “The dragon came out of the abyss.” Now, the scourge of so many schisms makes it impossible to stop abortion, Moslem invasion, and other threats to life..

Many want to violate Church teachings and still think they can get to Heaven. When they hear a lie about The Church as ridiculous as “Catholics worship idols.” some feel justified in going astray.

Protestant prevarications work both ways. Some don’t like the lies and become Catholic. Some believe to justify leaving The Only Church Jesus Founded.
