The Resentful, a Breed Apart

The “Pigford Settlement” is a classic. It’s the perfect example of an obvious and ongoing fraud. The deception is proven by the fact that there are more black people getting money for saying they were discriminated against as black farmers than the total number of black farmers. The huge fraud has not been condemned by anyone on the left or in the media, even though their own taxes are raised, or their own money is devalued, to help pay for it.

Why no complaints from the liberals? There are two kinds of people on the left, those already in the process of getting money from taxpayers for doing as little as possible and those who’d like to get some.

Getting, or wanting to get, money from neighbors without working for it is how resentfulness manifests itself. Resentfulness quickly reaches levels that overwhelm thoughts of fairness. It’s impossible for the resentful to think of providing an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. The resentful in fact, become their own

breed of people.

The resentful are drawn to liberalism as moths to porch lights. It provides them a platform from which they can tell the world what’s wrong with it. They are angry. They are upset. They want us to know that while proclaiming “fairness” to be their goal. Yet, studies and analyses have shown that rich liberals donate a fourth as much of their incomes to charity as do poorer conservatives. Their concerns are fraudulent pretenses that mask the underlying resentfulness of the breed they have become.

Why are they resentful? They are universally envious. They see other people having and doing things that they don’t have or can’t do. “It’s not fair!”, they think and say. “I should be able to have that, too.”, “I should be able to do that.”

The smartest person among us is probably not as smart as Thomas Edison. Should we lesser lights be resentful because he had the ability to let us light up the night? Should we resent his brilliance so much that we proclaim that “I’m only going to use candles.”?

Or, should even the dimmest bulb among us be thankful that, because of Thomas Edison, we can read when it’s dark.

There will always be someone smarter, richer, better-looking, or whatever. Bell curves were designed to show inequalities. Few of us are the best at anything. None of us are the best at everything. Should we be resentful about what we do not have, or should we be grateful for the blessings we have so kindly been given?

Pity them. Pray for them. The Resentful Breed is made of those unhappy souls who’ve left the flock whose members are grateful for having been lovingly programmed by The Loving Programmer to do a special work that no one else on earth could do as well.

Rather than following their calling with loving gratitude, they have made the conscious decision to join the Resentful Breed because their job isn’t glamorous, exciting, or lucrative enough.
