Protestants are very fond of announcing their lazy way to Heaven! “I believe in Jesus Christ! I am saved!”

Lazy people are overwhelmed by the demons of sloth. Their teaching? “Souls do not get to Heaven by ‘works’! Souls get to Heaven by ‘believing’. Salvation is easy!”

~

Jn 5:17-47, begins with this “pro-work” Teaching from Jesus: “My Father goes on working and so do I.” (emphasis added throughout)

“Work” is again mentioned by Jesus in 5:17!

“Jesus answered the Jews: ‘My Father is at work until now, so I am at work.'”

How did lazy people respond? “For this reason they tried all the more to kill him . . . “

In Verse 20, Jesus Spoke of more “works”! “and he will show him greater things than these, works that will astonish you.”

~

How do Protestants avoid thinking about the praise Jesus gave to “works”?

They only see Verse 24! “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and will not come to condemnation, but has passed from death to life.”

The sloth-possessed Protestants proclaim! “We are saved if we believe! ‘This is our creed / Belief is all we need!’

~

The demons of sloth keep those they make lazy from working their way to Verses 28-29. “. . the hour is coming when the dead will leave their graves at the sound of His voice: those who did good will rise again to life: and those who did wicked deeds to the resurrection of condemnation”

It is impossible to have done “good” deeds if we did not “work” to obey Every Teaching of Jesus Christ.

Can there be more “wicked deeds” than “working” to lead other people to disobey This Teaching from Jesus Christ?

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
