“Something there is that doesn’t love a wall”

Is found in a poem by Robert Frost. Not nearly as subtle, Catholic Fundamentalists say with simple bluntness, “There is something that hates everything.”

Every structure is faced with things is trying to destroy it. Termites and ravenous usurers try to destroy homes, adulterers try to destroy marriages, molesters attempt to corrupt children, anarchists struggle to destroy governments, and germs and viruses try to destroy health. Every structure of every kind is at risk.

Dante called this “dis”.

On the other side is Jesus Christ and the eternal Kingdom of God. “You pays your money and you takes your choice” sums up who we are and the alternatives we may freely select.
