St. John cries “Be Catholic!” 6

Once again, The Most Beloved Disciple, St. John cries “Be Catholic!” Today, another example.

John 14: 21-26 contains clear, concise commands: “Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Whoever has My commandments and observes them is the one who loves me.'”
Many schismatics make a big deal of carrying their Bibles around with them, clutching them firmly, modern versions of the tassels and phylacteries of ostentatious Jews. They let us know that I”have His commandments.”

The second part of “Whoever has My commandments and observes them is where they stumble. They have His commandments, but they do not observe them.

Consider one of Jesus’ Commandments. All in schism ignore John 6:53, “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”
We may obey that commandment in The Only Church Jesus Founded and nowhere else. His Church has changed bread and wine into His Body and Blood from The Last Supper/First Mass until now.

So, being in The Only Church He Founded is a commandment that must be obeyed in order to obey the “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” Commandment. It is clear when we read Mt 16: 18-21 “I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. What you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven.”

That’s very simple. Two commandments. “Eat My Body, drink My Blood in The Only Place on earth where it is available, The Church He Founded.” It is silly to think those two commands may be obeyed by being in one of the 43,000 schisms.

A third command: “I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, The Holy Spirit whom The Father will send in My name–He will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”
Now, when His apostles had varying ideas about things, they did not go off and start their own Somewhat Christian denominations. They met, prayed for guidance, discussed, decided, and made the necessary changes, recalling and cleaving to “all that I told you”. When those who disobey that command have a disagreement with Church policy or practice go off and start some schism, they are disobeying yet another of His commandments.

Another command disobeyed by those in schism: “Whoever loves me will keep My Word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. . .” So, those who refuse to receive His Body and Blood in The Only Church He Founded prefer some schism founded by a vain, ambitious man with thoughts similar to theirs.

In doing so they purposefully, and automatically, choose to not “keep My words”, and stubbornly, if not insanely, ignore the implied promise: “Of those who do not keep His Word, the Father will not love him.”
The sheer foolishness of disregarding Jesus’ clear commandments is magnified when we realize that those in schisms actually think Jesus doesn’t care if they violate His commandments. It is amazing. When we reread His simple words, we realize how irrational the thinking of the schism-inventor is. Schism inventor: “I really don’t care about obeying Jesus. I want to make a living by bloviating. So, I have to say I’m a Christian. Actually, I worship myself.”

Amazingly, many are led astray by those who are led astray. Even as St. John cries “Be Catholic!” they wander off into one lunacy after another, little realizing that their souls are turning into chaff and being blown away by wind and time.
