Question 1:  “Does St. Paul warn us in Today’s Catholic Reading to not do ‘more harm than good’ in Church ‘meetings’?”

Answer:  “Catholics do not avoid the fact that St. Paul was among the first 12 Catholic ‘Cardinal-Bishops’.  The Twelve Disciples had ‘Apostolic Authority’ given by Jesus to The First Pope and His ‘College of Cardinals’, to found Catholic parishes and Dioceses.  His first letter to early Catholics in Corinth makes his Teaching Authority clear in 1 Cor 17-26 and 33:  ‘Brothers and sisters, in giving this instruction, I do not praise the fact that your meetings are doing more harm than good.’

Question 2:  “How did St. Paul know there were problems in their ‘meetings’?”

Answer:  “‘First of all, I hear that when you meet as a Church there are divisions among you, and to a degree I believe it;  there have to be factions among you in order that also those who are approved among you may become known.’

Question 3:  “What mistake did they make in their ‘meetings’?”

Answer:  “‘When you meet in one place, then, it is not to eat The Lord’s Supper, for in eating each one goes ahead with his own supper (gorging on his own thoughts and words), and one goes hungry while another gets drunk (inebriated by self-importance).’

St. Paul explained:  ‘Do you not have houses in which you can eat and drink?  Or, do you show contempt for The Church of God and make those who have nothing feel ashamed?  . . . In this matter, I do not praise you.’

Question 4:  “What did St. Paul tell early Catholics to focus on in Church?”

Answer:  “Catholic Communion!  He told them to focus on The Miracle of being able to obey The Call to Catholic Communion that Jesus gave His Catholic priests The Power to Provide when He Promised to provide That Holy Food 12 times in John, 6 and twice more at The Last Supper, ‘If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.’  Only Catholic priests, Ordained in Living Link with The First Catholic Bishops, have The Power to Preside over The Miracle of Transubstantiation and let Catholics have God’s ‘life in us!'”

Question 5:  “What did St. Paul tell them to concentrate their minds on?”

Answer:  “This!  ‘For I received from The Lord what I also handed on to you, that The Lord Jesus, on the night He was handed over, took bread and, after He had given thanks, broke it and said ‘This is My Body that is for you.  Do this in remembrance of Me.’  In the same way held the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My Blood.  Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’

St. Paul was clear:  ‘Church’ was for Catholics to ‘Proclaim the death of The Lord until He comes again.’ by receiving His Body and Blood.  St. Paul was frequently jailed and beaten so he could fulfill The Mission of Jesus and have ‘handed’ That Holy Food ‘on to them’!”

May all be blessed to take Every Word of Jesus literally and figuratively, beginning with His Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

May all be blessed to be as Catholic as we can in every “Church Meeting”!
