St. Paul’s road to Heaven: “Believe.” “Obey.” “Stand Firm.”

St. Paul tells us what we must do to let Jesus Christ get our souls into Heaven.

Question 1: “How can I get my soul into Heaven?”

Answer: “Good beginning! That is the most intelligent question anyone can ask! St. Paul tells us in Today’s Reading, Philippians 3:17-4.

Question 2: “What does St. Paul tell us?”

Answer: “Follow the examples of obedient Christians! ‘Join with others in being imitators of me, brothers and sisters, and observe those who thus conduct themselves according to the model you have in us.’

~

Question 3: “Does St. Paul describe those who refuse to follow his teachings and examples?”

Answer: “St. Paul tells us about those who willfully disobey examples and teachings of The Apostles! ‘For many, as I have often told you and now tell you even in tears, conduct themselves as enemies of the cross of Christ.’

Question 4: “What happens to the immortal souls of those who choose to live as ‘enemies’ of Christ?”

Answer: “St. Paul gives a short answer! ‘Their end is destruction.’!”

Question 5: “Does St. Paul tell us why people choose to go to ‘destruction’?”

Answer: “He tells us what they want to worship and think about. ‘Their God is their stomach; their glory is in their ‘shame’. Their minds are occupied with earthly things.’

Question 6: “How do Catholics keep our ‘minds occupied’?

Answer: “We focus on Jesus! ‘But our citizenship is in Heaven, and from it we also await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.’

Question 7: “What will Jesus do for us?”

Answer: “He allows Catholics to receive His Body and Blood! ‘He will change our lowly body to conform with His glorified Body by The Power that enables Him also to bring all things into subjection to Himself.’

Question 8: “What should we do after we obey The Apostle’s obedience to This Word of Jesus Christ: ‘And I say unto you thou are Peter and on this rock I build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven; . .’ and receive His Body and Blood in Catholic Communion?”

Answer: “We must ‘stand firm’! ‘Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.’
